Iran confirms death of top security official Ali Larijani in US-Israeli strikes
Larijani has been described as one of the most powerful figures in the country
Ali Larijani, the influential head of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, has been killed in US-Israeli strikes, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced.
Larijani was killed alongside his son and his head of security, the IRGC media arm, Sepah, said, describing the slain official as “one of the most well-known and skilled politicians in Iran.”
